Manuscript competition offers $1,000 top prize
by The 16th annual Sydney Taylor Manuscript Competition, sponsored by the Association of Jewish Libraries, is accepting submissions, An award of $1,000 will be given to the best fiction manuscript appropriate for readers between ages 8 and 11. The story should

The deadline for submissions is Jan. 15, 2001. The winner will be announced the following May 1, and will be presented at the 36th annual convention of the Association of Jewish Libraries during the month of June in San Diego.
