A new service, provided by Jewish Community Information & Referral, may be of assistance.
Jews say yahrzeit on the Hebrew calendar date of death. To assist non-synagogue members, volunteers at the JCI&R take the date of death, find the corresponding Hebrew calendar date, and provide individuals with the standard, or English, calendar dates for a 10-year period. Individuals will receive an annual reminder one month prior to the date.
For information, call JCI&R at (415)777-4545 or visit the Web site at http://www.sfjcf.org/localjewishresources.
