Hillary Clinton intercedes on behalf of Pollard’s safety

Pollard, a former Navy analyst, was convicted of espionage in 1985 for giving Israel tens of thousands of top-secret U.S. military documents.

The late-August action by the New York senatorial candidate is being touted by some as an attempt to court Jewish voters in advance of November's election.
