Amazon nixes ‘Mein Kampf’
by NEW YORK (JTA) -- The Simon Wiesenthal Center is applauding Amazon.com's decision to stop shipping copies of "Mein Kampf" to Ger, The Internet bookseller made the decision on Wednesday of last week.

"We are also relieved by Amazon.com's CEO, Jeff Bezos' commitment to the Wiesenthal Center to review marketing policies that, in effect, promoted the sale of hate literature."
The sale of Hitler's "Mein Kampf" is banned in Germany.
According to an Amazon.com report at last month's Frankfurt Book Fair, "Mein Kampf" was its second most popular book sold to German customers.
German publishing giant Bertelsmann recently asked barnesandnoble.com to stop delivering the book to customers in Germany. Bertelsmann has a 40 percent stake in barnesandnoble.com.
