Jordan’s prince marks treaty anniversary

Hassan said the scoreboard of relations for the last five years was not as remarkable as the leaders of the peace effort might have wished at the historic signing of the treaty in 1994.
"Time is our most valuable asset," Hassan said. "We cannot afford to stand still. We have made some progress on borders, water, telecommunications, and transportation -- but a lot remains to be done."
Hassan was given a lengthy standing ovation at the end of his address. He earlier attended a reception at the Tel Aviv home of Leah Rabin.
