Teens to honor top leaders

by "One People, One Community, One Future," sponsored by Hebrew Free Loan Association, will take place at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24 at, Awards will be presented to Helen Diller and Dottie Miller by the Teen Fellows.

Miller, a South Bay Jewish educator, will receive the "Shamash Award" for her role in creating a vibrant Jewish teenage community, and for her leadership in enhancing teenagers' Jewish identity.

The Lysaya Dance Ensemble, an 8-year-old dance ensemble from Russia now based in San Francisco, will perform the ethnic dances that won them an international competition in Moscow last year.

Serving as master of ceremonies will be Daniel Shek, consul general of Israel.

Ticket prices are $25 for youth, ages 14 to 21, $50 for adults, and include refreshments and dancing to a live band.
