Jewish authors to address event at Yerba Buena

The second panel will speak on "Contemporary Jewish Fiction." Moderated by Jerome A. Chanes, editor of "A Portrait of the American Jewish Community," it will include Morris Dickstein, author of "Gates of Eden"; Rebecca Goldstein, author of "The Mind-Body Problem"; Alvin Rosenfeld, author of "A Double Dying"; and Brian Morton, author of "Starting Out in the Evening" and winner of a Koret Jewish Book Award.
The event is sponsored by the National Foundation for Jewish Culture in collaboration with the Koret Foundation. It is part of the Koret Jewish Book Awards program. The second Koret Jewish Book Awards, with $10,000 in prizes, will be presented on April 10, 2000.
