Peres has new title, still waiting for work

Peres confidant Avi Gil passed a list of recommendations to Kucik a week ago, which the other ministries involved have now had time to consider.

Led by the Foreign Ministry, they unanimously rejected the proposals, which largely call for the transfer of financial powers to Peres' ministry.

Sunday night, the Prime Minister's Office would not say the talks have stalled but rather that "there will be more discussions during the week."
