Jacobson later worked for the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society for 28 years. In conjunction with his HIAS work, he was made an honorary colonel in the U.S. Army
He was a past chairman of State of Israel Bonds. He also was a sculptor whose works were exhibited in various galleries.
Born in Buffalo, N.Y., he moved to Arizona 20 years ago.
