Shlock Rock to play at Oakland’s Beth Jacob
by Shlock Rock, an internationally known Jewish band, will perform at 4 p.m. Sunday, May 16 at Beth Jacob Congregation, 3778 Park B, Sponsors are Tehiyah Day School and Oakland Hebrew Day School. A portion of the profits will be given to the Kosovo Relief Fund

Bandleader Lenny Solomon recently moved to Bet Shemesh in Israel, and new material will focus on his experiences there. One new song is dedicated to the more than 70 Israeli soldiers who lost their lives in Lebanon last year.
