Pesach breakfasts needn’t be afflicting

Though many don't mind forgoing flour during Passover, breakfast is still the one meal that remains a quandary.

Matzah every morning becomes a bore.

Because it is challenging to find satisfying substitutes for the bread, cereal and pancakes, some draw on their creativity to make the most of matzah.

A number of Jews spread combinations of toppings on matzah the way people pile condiments on hot dogs. Some even go for the unusual combinations, such as goat cheese, sliced pears and roasted walnuts. Or feta cheese, avocados and tomatoes. Or cream cheese with a charoset of raisins, dates and almonds.
