Jewish learning events on tap in May

Two big events focused on Jewish learning for adults are coming up in May.

The JCC of Sonoma County will present “A Day of Jewish Learning: Ignite Your Mind” from 1 to 4 p.m. May 4. Free and open to all, the event will be broken into two time periods, each offering six different sessions. It will be held at the Finley Community Center, 2060 W. College Ave., Santa Rosa. Two weeks later, from 1 to 6 p.m. May 18, S.F.-based Jewish LearningWorks and the Oshman Family JCC will present “Feast of Jewish Learning” in Palo Alto. The schedule includes four one-hour learning sessions. For children, offerings include music, a puppet show, other performances and arts and crafts. There also will be kosher food from the South Bay’s Jerusalem Grill and Bar.
