JPAC seeks participants for advocacy day

The Jewish Public Affairs Committee of California is seeking volunteers for JPAC Advocacy Day, which will take place May 12 to 13 at the State Capitol in Sacramento. Participants will meet with legislators in the Assembly and Senate to lobby them on bills and discuss issues of concern to the Jewish community.

The S.F.-based Jewish Community Relations Council, which partners with JPAC for Advocacy Day, will organize carpools to and from Sacramento.

Advocacy Day takes place each May, attracting activists from across California to take part in workshops and lobby legislators.

JPAC advocates on behalf of Jewish social service agencies and lobbies for initiatives of interest to the Jewish community, such as funding for low-income seniors, Israel and public education. For more information, visit
