Roughly 50 years after “Fiddler On The Roof” made its Broadway premiere, American Jews have held on to the show in almost the same way the residents of Anatevka held on to their traditions. In early August, the Stage Door Conservatory, an East Bay summer musical theater program for kids, will perform “Fiddler.” To whet your appetite, and to raise funds for a scholarship program, the conservatory is showing the classic 1971 film and having a sing-a-long, with words to the songs printed on the screen.
