Adoption Connection, an affiliate of S.F.-based Jewish Family and Children’s Services, is scheduled to receive the Human Rights Campaign’s seal of recognition as a leader in supporting and serving LGBT families.
According to the JFCS website, Adoption Connection has been a fully licensed, nonprofit adoption agency since 1985. It completes more than 100 adoptions annually. In conjunction with JFCS, Adoption Connection serves San Francisco, the Peninsula, and Marin and Sonoma counties.
A JFCS spokesperson noted that Adoption Connection “has been a leader in the field of open adoptions as well as one of the first agencies in the country to assist LGBT households grow their families through open adoption.”
The HRC seal of recognition was to be awarded in a ceremony on Friday, May 17.
