Songs for Mom Families will gather together to honor their mothers in all sorts of ways this Sunday, May 12. (It’s Mother’s Day, and if you didn’t know that already — well, let’s just say your mom was right about you.) After brunch, swing by Congregation Netivot Shalom in Berkeley and enjoy a mother-daughter concert, “Songs of Love and Justice.” Cantor Linda Hirshhorn (left), who founded and directs the Jewish a cappella group Vocolot, will perform with her daughter Talia Cooper, (right). They will perform original songs in their first-ever joint concert. 3 p.m. Sunday, May 12 at Congregation Netivot Shalom, 1316 University Ave., Berkeley. $13.
