Rocker Lenny Kravitz has canceled his Oct. 6 concert in Tel Aviv.
The performance was canceled due to Kravitz’s change of schedule, according to his managers. The singer will be shooting a new film at the time, and also canceled upcoming concerts in Kiev, Bucharest and Istanbul.
The announcement last week came as a surprise to Israeli producers, as just the week before the singer had sent a message to Israeli fans expressing his excitement about his visit to Israel. The Tel Aviv concert would have been his first in the Jewish state.
“We received an email on Tuesday [Aug. 21] from Kravitz’s managers stating that all of the singer’s scheduled concerts for September and October would have to be canceled due to a prior commitment,” the production company said.
