The Oshman Family JCC in Palo Alto is hosting “Breathe,” its second annual women’s wellness symposium, on March 18. During a day dedicated to women, participants will be able to choose among various lectures on fitness, relationships and happiness, as well as other topics.
Some of the workshop titles are “Jewish Yoga: A Physical and Spiritual Workshop,” “A Win-Win Approach to Successful Relationships” and “Caregiver Empowerment.” All will be led by doctors, attorneys, rabbis, authors and other experts — all women.
The event includes a catered lunch and will feature keynote speaker Miri Amit, the dean of Ben-Gurion University’s campus in Eilat. She will speak about empowering women, and how to motivate girls to express their intelligence and their other gifts rather than obsess about acceptance.
The symposium is exclusively for women of all ages, and it includes an optional Zumba class in the morning. It takes place 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 18 at the Oshman Family JCC, 3921 Fabian Way, Palo Alto. Cost is $65, with a discount for members. For more information, visit www.paloaltojcc.org/breathe.
