Kor was 10 years old when she was deported with her family to Auschwitz. She and her twin were selected for Mengele's experiments on racial genetics. The rest of her family died in the gas chambers. After the war, she and her sister emigrated to Israel. She married an American tourist and moved to Terre Haute, Ind., where she now lives.
